Civitavecchia – Eye surgery activities resume at St. Paul's

"The activities of eye surgery can finally resume." Reporting this is the same Director General Giuseppe Quintavalle he points out: "The Hospital Infections Committee, which met this morning, approved the new Procedures for the Management of the Surgical Patient in Ophthalmology; procedures shared in the’last draft yesterday between the Company Management, Hospital Medical Director and Ophthalmic Specialists. This basically means that as of today the resumption of all activities is authorized, in full safety, thus giving a concrete answer to the inconveniences complained by the many citizens forced for months to a ‘forced parking’ waiting list. In this regard, I want to thank the Corporate Health Director, Dr. Lauro Sciannamea, who has done so much during this period for a full resolution of the problem."

It arises end therefore to the suspension of the interventions ordered since last August as a result of some postoperative problems in some patients, and which had led to the closure of operating rooms for the redoing of facilities found to be inadequate.
